Namaskar!
“EQ” refers to emotional quotient , “IQ” referes to Intelligence quotient and “SQ” to spiritual intelligence or quotient.
While all three types of intelligence are important in their own ways, spiritual intelligence (SQ) is often considered the most important as it is believed to be the foundation for the other two types of intelligence; it is a person’s ability to find meaning and purpose in life, connect with others on a deeper level, and cultivate a sense of inner peace and well-being.
Regardless of your role or occupation, whether you are a full-time corporate worker, a homemaker, a child, a professional or a student, developing your spiritual quotient (SQ) can help you lead a more fulfilling life. And recognising that you are part of the universe and the universe is within you can be a powerful awakening that leads to greater self-awareness.
As someone who has been on a personal journey and helping many towards improving my own spiritual quotient, I can attest to the transformative power of these simple tips.
I have personally witnessed the transformative power of these tips, and I hope that my experiences can inspire you to embark on your own journey towards spiritual growth.
Let me share some tips with you all to improve your SQ !
Tip #1 – Shift from Ego Self to Inner Wise Self
If you often make decisions based solely on your own desires and needs, without considering their impact on others, consider shifting from your ego self to your inner wise self. Before making decisions, ask yourself, “what would my wise and compassionate self do?” This approach can help you approach situations with greater empathy and understanding, and prioritise kindness and compassion over self-serving motives. By doing so, you may find greater harmony and fulfilment in your life.
Tip #2 – Practice Mindfulness
Mindfulness can help you become more aware of your thoughts and emotions, allowing you to respond to situations with greater clarity and intentionality. By observing your thoughts and feelings without judgment, you can gain a greater sense of self-awareness and inner peace.

Tip #3 – Practice Body Scanning
Your body holds a wealth of information about your internal state, but it’s easy to ignore its signals. Practicing body scanning can help you connect physical sensations with your mental and emotional state. This can help you identify areas of tension or imbalance and take action to address them, leading to a greater sense of self-awareness and well-being.
Tip #4 – Explore Your Life Purpose
If you’re feeling lost or unfulfilled, exploring your life purpose can bring clarity and purpose to your life. Discovering your gifts and talents and aligning your actions with your values can help you feel more fulfilled and bring greater meaning to your daily actions.
Tip #5 – Practice Non-Judgment towards Self and Others
Learning to be non-judgmental towards yourself and others can be challenging but rewarding. By approaching situations with greater compassion and empathy, you can deepen your relationships and cultivate a greater sense of understanding and connection with those around you. Instead of judging others based on their beliefs or experiences, try to approach them with an open mind and willingness to learn from their perspective.
I want to offer a piece of advice to those looking to improve their spiritual quotient: remember that this is a journey, not a destination.
It’s about cultivating a mindset of growth and self-awareness. Be patient with yourself, seek out resources and support, and most importantly, be kind to yourself and those around you.
By cultivating greater empathy and compassion, you can experience a more spiritually fulfilling life.
